LA Movie Review- White House Down

James Woods leads an invasion of the white house & only Channing Tatum can stop him. It's really, really stupid. Roland Emmerich, director of 2012, Independence Day, & The Day After Tomorrow, directs this bombastic, over the top, & poorly written popcorn flick. Oscar winner Jamie Foxx was just reading lines throughout. Channing Tatum was very funny in 21 Jump Street, but the dialogue was just so bad, that none of his jokes land here. I didn't buy him as an action star either, due to the shaky cam during his action scenes. Maggie Gyllenhall didn't have anything to do in this. All in all, it can be a fun movie if you turn your brain off. That's the only way this can be enjoyed because it is so damn dumb. Olympus Has Fallen is the better movie.
