This movie really isn't about the plane & that's not a bad thing. It focuses on the pilot's struggle with his alcoholism & problems with God. Denzel Washington gives a good performance as the pilot struggling with the prison of addiction he has put himself in. John Goodman provides the comical relief & really is a scene stealer.
