LA Movie Review- Hot Fuzz

The best police officer in London gets sent to a small town in the country after making every other London cop look bad. In this small town he uncovers a deadly conspiracy. Simon Pegg stars as Nicholas Angel a cop who personifies the definition of justice. He makes John McClane look like a rookie. Nick Frost plays Angel's sidekick, a Point Break- loving cop. Edgar Wright directs this action, comedy, horror, mystery film that is all kinds of awesome. This funnier than Shaun of The Dead but not paced as well. There are a lot of quick cuts during action scenes but unlike shaky cam I could always tell what was happening. Besides that this is a fun movie that pays homage to other great cop movies of the past. While it stands on it's own it does have many terrific references to it's predecessor. Hot Fuzz is an awesome movie that is every bit as good as Shaun of The Dead.
4.5/5
