LA Movie Review- Now You See Me
A bank gets robbed by a magician group known as The Four Horsemen & now its up to detective Mark Ruffalo to stop them. I had a lot of fun with this movie. While I haven't been a fan of director, Louis Leterrier in the past I did enjoy what he did with this. His style walked the line between reality & fantasy in a very entertaining fashion. It's like The Prestige meets Ocean's 11 acted out by Bruce Banner & the leads of Zombieland. Now you know that sounds interesting. It makes for a fast-paced, fun magic movie with twists & turns forwarding the plot. There is a twist at the end that I had a problem with. While it does take away from the movie, it doesn't take away how much fun I had. Mark Ruffalo is a good actor & leads the ensemble cast. Jesse Eisenberg plays the character he typically plays & so does Woody Harrelson (but who doesn't like Woody Harrelson?). Isla Fisher is good as is Dave Franco. The chick from Inglorious Basterds also does a nice job playing a hopeful detective. Now You See Me is a good time at the movies. Very stupid twist at the end though. Very stupid.
